This Maintenance Project Manager position in Lake City, MN. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be a key member of the facilities department.
A successful Maintenance Project Manager will impact the business by:
- Define the scope and objectives/criteria of the project in collaboration with the management team.
- Analyze Downtime & Cost Data collection and evaluate for equipment uptime improvement.
- Design and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities on site that improve machine uptime, reduce downtime, and maintain equipment quality capability as a whole and track the results.
- Determine the resources required to complete projects on time, on budget and ensure all resources are allocated effectively.
- Maintain & improve CMMS PM schedule & processes.
- Lead project meetings, prepare and communicate project status documents and all other information, resources, and decision records to ensure effective process and maximize waste elimination.
- Answer production service calls and dispatch maintenance members.
- Communicate with MRO Purchasing Coordinator to track and release projects based on purchased parts delivery date.
- Maintain completed CMMS work order database.
- Communicate with management to schedule and track departmental work orders.
- Implement/schedule on site formal maintenance training program.
- Manage all external service providers and schedule service as needed to be able to maximize overall equipment effectiveness.
- Delegate work orders to team members based on skills and expertise.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor on work orders that do not have clearly defined impact and effort.
- Use CAD program to generate parts drawings and equipment modifications and improvements.

- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- High level of self-direction.
- Ability to work with cross functional teams at multiple levels inside and outside the organization to ensure equipment reliability.
- Great organizational skills including attention to detail, and an ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with tight time frames and deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Prior background in project management programs preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective interaction and communication with vendors and internal customers addressing equipment specifications and issues.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both formally and informally throughout the organization.
- Ability to work alternate hours when required to support projects or organizational problems or train members.
- Requires frequent decision-making having significant company-wide impact.
- Demands creative new solutions to complex problems. Duties involve more confidentiality/delayed detection of error with higher cost potential/higher impact on the organization
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, management, business or a related field
- 3-5 years of proven work experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- AutoCAD/Solid Works experience preferred
- Professional certification preferred
