Maintenance Quality Control Manager – Full-Time

Job Description: The Maintenance Quality Control Manager is responsible for serving as the central hub of aircraft maintenance status information and overseeing the removal from service and return to service of aircraft.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform and supervise maintenance activities to ensure all work is performed in accordance with current FAA regulatory requirements, Silverhawk General Operating Manual, or other technical data acceptable to the administrator prior to approval of the aircraft for return to service.
Responsible for ensuring proper documentation of the work performed on aircraft is completed prior to approval of the aircraft for return to service.
Update aircraft maintenance tracking system with the work performed.
Review the aircraft due list prior to approval of the aircraft for return to service to ensure no due items will become due during the aircraft’s next scheduled trip.
Communicate with Flight Operations any changes to aircraft readiness for flight status.
Approve MEL, CDL, or NEF deferrals for continued flight and communicate all deferral limitations with Flight Operations.
Review squawk lists and active deferrals (MEL, CDL, NEF) daily and coordinate with the Director of Maintenance and Flight Operations to ensure a plan is put in place for repair.
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting guidance to help flight crews and maintenance providers solve issues and get aircraft back into service as soon as possible.
Assist with coordinating maintenance support for remote unscheduled AOG aircraft with approved maintenance facilities.
Ensure all essential information is communicated to next Maintenance Control shift in a clear, accurate, and efficient manner before end of current shift
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Possess a current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions.
Inspection Authorization Preferred.
Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Authorized to work in the US.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Flexible and willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime in an “On-Call” rotation with other members of the maintenance control team.
Ability to travel occasionally.
Willing to work with other departments within the company, as needed.
Possess a strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong desire for success.
Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
