Maintenance Specialist

We're Hiring a full-time Maintenance Specialist!

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Specialist at AMHC, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our buildings in great shape! From basic repairs to helping with cleaning and coordinating larger maintenance projects, your work will directly support the well-being of our staff, clients, and community.

What You'll Do:

• Regularly inspect AMHC properties for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance needs.
   
• Handle general maintenance and minor repairs quickly and efficiently.
   
• Work with trusted contractors for larger or specialized repairs — including gathering quotes and references.
   
• Clean the outpatient offices and residential hallways at our Calais building 3 times a week.
   
• Assist with moving and setting up furniture or equipment as needed.
   
• Help order maintenance supplies in coordination with our Accounts Payable Specialist.
   
• Ensure quotes and purchases follow AMHC’s procurement policy.
   
• Practice safe lifting and safety techniques in all tasks.

• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. 
• Experience with general maintenance, cleaning, and repair of common building structures, appliances, and other equipment is required. 
• Must have reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
