Maintenance Superintendent

Job Summary for this role:

Supervisory role for construction job completion. Performs various maintenance duties and handles service requests requiring general technical labor skills while traveling to different locations as required.

General Accountabilities:

• Routinely performs general building/contracting functions under direct supervision
• Supervises subcontractors to ensure job site rules, regulations, and deadlines are followed
• Works directly with Project Managers, Customer Service, customers, vendors, and others to coordinate and complete work
• Effectively communicates to all stakeholders they work with to facilitate their role using web based software, voice and text transmissions, and vendor supplied communication systems
• Capability and performance of various trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, general interior and exterior building work
• Performs routine maintenance for buildings as needed
• Orders parts, supplies, or equipment to fix routine commercial and industrial buildings
• Plans and lays out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams
• Performs general cleaning duties of buildings or properties as needed
• Records type and cost of maintenance or repair work

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: 4-6 years of related experience in building, operations, or maintenance performance/upkeep. Must have working knowledge of all construction trades.

• General abilities in maintenance work across disciplines 
• Must be proficient with basic computer skills to generate email and text messages
• Active Driver's License with clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

• Site Environment - site work will require ability to navigate uneven project site terrain, ability to climb ladders/scaffolding, walk up and down stairs, ability to lift 50 lbs
• Read reduced size black and white spec sheets, reports, schedules on computer screens or hard print
