Maintenance Supervisor

Description

The Maintenance supervisor oversees   the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Evaluates systems or   facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.   Develops maintenance procedures and schedules under the direction of the   maintenance manager. 

Requirements

1. Promote a team atmosphere,   healthy and safe work environment for all employees providing consistent and   ongoing communication and direction

2. Plan, organize, direct and run optimum   day-to-day operations under direction of the manager 

3. Accountable for ensuring compliance to all   safety programs, requirements and practices

4. Coordinate with area supervisors and managers   to determine maintenance issues or breakdowns

5. Communicate   with and engage the team members on key operational strategies

6. Maintain standards for production, housekeeping and   quality control

7. Support Maintenance Techs in necessary repairs or   projects 

8. Allocate workload and supervise   maintenance staff

9. Complete all necessary   processing paperwork up to date and accurate

Keep accurate maintenance logs and report on daily activities 

1. 2-3 years of supervisory   experience

2. Working knowledge of facility   machines and equipment

3. Basic computer skills

4. Excellent communication,   interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills

Strong team building, decision making and people management skills
