Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead the repair and preventative maintenance of equipment in our facility. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, setting priorities, and ensuring equipment reliability while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities for underground mining equipment, including crushers, conveyors, drills, and other machinery.
  

• Preventative Maintenance: Implement and manage effective preventative maintenance (PM) programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  

• Prioritization & Scheduling: Establish maintenance priorities based on equipment criticality, production needs, and safety requirements.
  

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  

• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure maintenance practices meet company and regulatory standards.
  

• Inventory Control: Monitor and manage parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components.
  

• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and scheduled PMs.
  

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, reduce costs, and improve maintenance processes.
  

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
  

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in mechanical maintenance within a mining or heavy industrial setting
  

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and repair practices
  

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
