We are seeking an industrial Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility, balancing both office-based planning and hands-on technical work. This role ensures equipment reliability, safe work practices, and efficient execution of maintenance activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead, coach, and schedule a team of maintenance technicians.
Assign daily tasks and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Maintenance Planning & Execution
Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing to minimize downtime.
Technical Oversight
Provide technical guidance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility-related systems.
Ensure all maintenance activities meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Budget & Resource Management
Manage maintenance budgets and track expenditures.
Ensure cost-effective use of labor, materials, and external contractors.
Inventory & Asset Management
Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
Ensure critical spare parts are available to support uninterrupted operations.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and ongoing projects.
Provide regular updates to leadership on maintenance status, issues, and improvement opportunities.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, including mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
Familiarity with maintenance management software and electronic maintenance systems.
Leadership & Communication
Proven ability to lead and motivate maintenance teams.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with production, engineering, and external partners.
Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills
Ability to plan, prioritize, and schedule work effectively.
Skilled in identifying root causes and implementing practical, timely solutions.
Experience
3+ years of experience supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
Experience using electronic maintenance or CMMS systems required.
Education
Bachelors degree required (Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred).
