Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians across all shifts.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed, and work areas meet the highest safety standards.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of production equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks with minimal disruption.
- Monitor equipment performance and initiate corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implements long-term solutions.
- Maintain and update CMMS records, ensuring accurate documentation of work orders and maintenance logs.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on procedures, safety, troubleshooting, and equipment operation.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and emergency response drills.
- Support capital projects and equipment installations in collaboration with engineering and operations.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of critical components.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and maintenance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, FSQ, and internal safety and sanitation standards.
- Review and approve work orders, ensuring proper prioritization and resource allocation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated maintenance issues during assigned shifts.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills, including task delegation and performance coaching.
- Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities across a wide range of industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and digital maintenance tracking systems.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools and diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Experience in food manufacturing or USDA-regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods.
- May involve exposure to noise, heat, cold, and industrial chemicals.
- Overtime, weekend, or on-call shifts may be required based on production needs.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory in designated areas.
