A well-established manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead its overnight maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and minimizing production downtime. The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Safety while leading and developing maintenance personnel.
High-speed packaging experience is required. Food or beverage manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates from pharmaceutical or other manufacturing environments will be considered if they have strong high-speed packaging experience.
Responsibilities
Lead, schedule, and direct maintenance personnel on the 3rd shift.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of production and packaging equipment, plant utilities, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment problems and coordinate repairs to minimize production downtime.
Partner with Production to identify bottlenecks and improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and throughput.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
Assist with installation, commissioning, modification, and optimization of production equipment.
Investigate equipment failures and perform root cause analysis to implement lasting corrective actions.
Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, SOPs, and best practices.
Support Lean, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Help reduce scrap, defects, energy consumption, maintenance costs, and equipment losses.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, environmental, GMP, food safety, PPE, and company safety requirements.
Assist with hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and development of maintenance personnel.
Coordinate maintenance resources around production priorities and respond quickly to critical equipment downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance, safety, environmental, and operational documentation.
Qualifications
High-speed packaging experience required.
5–7+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
Food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is welcome when combined with high-speed packaging experience.
Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, environmental, safety, and quality requirements; SQF experience is a plus.
Lean or Kaizen experience is beneficial.
SAP experience is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Must be comfortable working 3rd shift, approximately 10:30 PM–7:30 AM, with hours varying based on production requirements.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card holder).
Compensation & Benefits
$95,000–$105,000 base salary
5% annual bonus
Candidates slightly above the stated salary range may still be considered.

This direct-hire opportunity offers a base salary of $95,000–$105,000 plus a 5% annual bonus. Candidates slightly above the stated salary range may still be considered. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. This is a 3rd-shift position, typically working from 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM, although hours may vary based on production needs.
