Under the general supervision of the Manager, General Aviation Operations, this position is responsible for supervising personnel and overseeing daily maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all airfield and airport areas within the Allegheny County Airport (AGC) complex, associated airport facilities, and related equipment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to understand and speak English clearly. Must be able to drive at night.
CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Note: This position may be assigned to work. Irregular hours, holidays, overtime, and this position may also be on-call.
MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Employment is contingent upon the results of a post-offer (initial employment or promotion) physical examination performed by the Authority’s examining physician.
DRUG TESTING
Employment is contingent upon the results of a post-offer (initial employment or promotion) drug screening. Continued employment may be subject to drug and alcohol testing conducted without advance notice and without individualized suspicion.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION
Ability to successfully pass a thorough investigation consisting of a criminal history check (including but not limited to the requirements of TSR 1542.209), verification of prior employment and performance, reference and credentials checks, and in some cases credit history.
