Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team and provide guidance for troubleshooting and planned downtime and emergency response activities;
- Provide oversight to ensure that plant equipment and maintenance systems function in an efficient & safe manner;
- Track and trend work order performance using CMMS and ensure the availability of parts and appropriate tools
- Administer preventative maintenance program to Reduce equipment downtime and improve machine efficiencies;
- Leadership/Coaching of maintenance personnel through pro-active communication, employee involvement, participation, individual feedback;
- Maintains inventory of spare parts, supplies and materials for critical maintenance repairs;
- Ensures compliance with Health and Safety objectives while meeting maintenance performance targets.
Qualifications- Post Secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Millwright or Electrician trades license, or related discipline, complimented with 5+ years of proven supervisor experience of engaging a team of senior tradespeople
- Prior work experience in the pulp and paper industry is considered an asset.
- Must be willing and available to support operations within in a 24/7 operation and demonstrates a sense of urgency to support with on call support and response for unplanned downtime;
- Preventive Maintenance Planning experience, with experience with EAM and CMMS
- Proven communication, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Project
