Maintenance Team Member

MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER (Permanent)
Our client, a national property management company, is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to join their growing team in WNY.  This is a great opportunity for a hands-on, driven individual to have an impact on people’s everyday lives.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily review of entire property to determine maintenance needs
  


• Prioritize tasks from emergent & safety issues, urgent requests, to general & preventative maintenance
  


• Attend planning meetings with maintenance team members to review daily work orders and coordinate tasks
  


• Properly utilize door tags & summaries when completing in-unit tasks
  


• Participate in the On-Call Emergency rotation—ensuring issues are addressed immediately and proper protocols are followed when reporting/resolving each
  


• Effectively and professionally communicate with residents
  


• Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting and repairing anything necessary prior to a new tenant arriving
  


• Ensure proper use of the digital maintenance system while tracking all assigned tasks
  


• Regularly complete training for safety and compliance to ensure all certifications necessary are in good standing
  


• Complete special projects in a timely manner
  


• Work well in a team environment as well as independently
  


• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full-time, direct hire
  


• 100% on-site; must be able to receive calls after hours/nights/weekends when On-Call
  


• $22.00 - $26.00 / hour depending on experience; 1.5x hourly rate for any approved overtime worked; 2x hourly rate for after-hours emergency property visits
  


• Experience in Maintenance, Construction, General repairs, or similar
  


• Must have basic toolset with hammer, screwdrivers, allen wrenches, pliers, etc.
  


• Pool Certification required within 60 days (training provided if needed)
  


• Strong organizational and time management skills
  


• Strong communication skills
  


• Strong attention to detail
  


• Self-motivated
