Maintenance Tech/ Site Survey

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Maintenance Technician / Site Survey to support our team by conducting thorough on-site surveys and performing routine maintenance. This role requires taking detailed measurements and creating accurate drawings of all structural elements of a building, as well as performing a range of minor repairs. Candidates must also be comfortable capturing comprehensive photo documentation of each site and organizing files digitally.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Site Survey & Documentation

• Visit potential and existing building sites to take precise measurements of all structural elements, including walls, doors, windows, ceiling heights, etc.
• Create accurate, scaled drawings of each site using graph paper (or digital tools when appropriate).
• Take clear, comprehensive photographs of the entire site and all relevant details.
• Upload and organize all site photos and documentation on Dropbox in a timely and structured manner.
• Maintain organized records of all site drawings and updates.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, or project managers as needed.

Facilities Maintenance

• Perform minor electrical repairs (e.g., light fixtures, outlets, switches).
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, and basic carpentry elements.
• Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of humidification systems and HVAC-related components.
• Handle general repair work orders safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in building/site measurement and creating architectural-style sketches.
• Skilled at taking and organizing site photos for documentation purposes.
• Strong understanding of construction and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, site plans, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in basic electrical, mechanical, and carpentry repairs.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently in the field and meeting deadlines.
• Working indoors/outdoors
• Ability to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching overhead, walking, kneeling, and climbing up/down ladders.
• The ability to lift 50lbs without assistance.
• Operate hand and power tools with knowledge.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Willing to travel when needed for tasks that require over night stays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with CAD or other architectural drawing software (not required, but a plus).
• Experience in commercial property maintenance or construction.
