Capital Management Services (CMS) is currently looking for a janitor or custodian to take care of our various contract locations on a full-time basis by carrying out cleaning and maintenance duties. This individual must keep our contracted buildings in a clean and orderly condition.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance worker to perform maintenance tasks such as repairs and cleaning. The maintenance position is responsible for applying basic fixes/minor repairs to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge. You should have the manual dexterity and physical stamina necessary for this work.

JOB DUTIES:

• Inspect and upkeep the buildings, grounds, and equipment.


• Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.


• Installs equipment and appliances.


• Comply with all company safety regulations.


• Keeps a maintenance log.


• Reports any issues to the maintenance manager.


• Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.


• Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.


• Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager.


• Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.


• Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.


• Use of equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.


• Operate a forklift.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A certification in building maintenance is a plus.


• Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.


• High School Diploma or equivalent.

One year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.


• Communicate effectively.


• Collaborates with maintenance workers, maintenance managers, and contractors.
