Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for responding to maintenance requests, performing plumbing repairs, and maintaining the property’s overall functionality. Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
• Install, maintain, and repair various plumbing systems, including cabling drains, clearing clogged lines, sweating pipes, and troubleshooting plumbing issues.
• Perform outdoor custodial duties to keep the property clean and presentable.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists on property equipment and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience in maintenance, plumbing, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage urgent maintenance needs.
• Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing maintenance tasks in various weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (Education/Experience):

Required – High School Diploma

Preferred – One year of Maintenance Tech/Custodian or janitorial/custodian experience.

Preferred – One year of experience operating floor care or motorized equipment.

Listening skills – strong active listening skills help Service Workers follow instructions clearly and understand what is required of them before beginning a task.

Attention to detail – Service Workers ensure that the area they are managing is cleaned thoroughly, so attention to detail is a key aspect of the role

Time management – this job requires the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and to set schedules, so applicants need good time management skills

Physical stamina – Service Workers spend most of their workday on their feet, operating cleaning equipment so good physical strength and stamina is a must

Mechanical skills – this job involves using, driving and charging floor cleaning equipment and tools, so applicants must be familiar with mechanical equipment

• Standing and/or walking (75 – 80%)
• Bending, kneeling, squatting, and/or stooping.
• Pulling or Pushing Carts or Flatbeds.
