Maintenance Technician

Description

Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in the Plant and the Distribution Center.

Job Classifications: Non-Exempt

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Must have strong mechanical abilities.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Understand, read, and use PLC’s and ladder logic of various software for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Highly skilled troubleshooter and problem solver.
• High level of electrical, mechanical and PLC skills in order to troubleshoot.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must have strong mechanical abilities.
• Should have a basic understanding of AC & DC electrical systems.
• Should have troubleshooting experience.
• Must be able to work overtime with little or no notice.
• Must be comfortable working alone and in a team environment.
• Must have an excellent attendance record.
• Must be able to work any shift.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Must be capable of following all safety rules.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be quality conscious.
• Must be capable of lifting 50#.
• Must be consistently at work and on time.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Must follow the environmental program and all safety rules.
• Accountability for performance.

Education and Experience:

• Additional training and experience in the Manufacturing Maintenance Field
• High school diploma or GED
