Maintenance Technician

Description

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is looking to fill a maintenance position at an average of 20hrs a week.  

As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

· The effective, efficient and safe maintenance, renovation and upkeep of buildings and grounds including semi-skilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other minor repair work; both on a weekly maintenance and monthly maintenance.

· Obtaining the necessary supplies for maintaining the building.

· Visual inspections of the entire property and maintenance as needed.

· Minor, job-related maintenance on custodial equipment, furniture & fixtures (including maintaining the baptismal font, replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, vacuum bags/belts, etc.).

· Facility set-up, moving furniture, ice and snow removal, and other simple building and grounds maintenance duties for the parish.

· Other tasks related to the maintenance of the parish facilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred, but not required.
• The ability to lift or move 50+ lb. items.
• The ability to work without direction, see issues, and report them so they can be fixed.
• Certified in Protecting God's Children and Compliance with the Diocesan Code of Conduct
