Maintenance Technician

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team on a contracted basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance tasks, ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and systems. This is a hands-on role requiring the technician to provide their own tools and reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to avoid equipment breakdowns and costly repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Document and report all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task.
• Collaborate with team members or clients as necessary to ensure work is completed on time and to the required quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and guidelines while performing work.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Must provide own tools and transportation to and from job sites.
• Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency situations if required.
