Maintenance Technician

Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Stevens Industries, a leading manufacturer of laminated wood products. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding and other maintenance skills relevant to a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repair and modification.
• Execute preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report issues promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in welding (MIG, TIG, or Stick) and metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in welding or industrial maintenance.
• Experience working in a wood product manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery and automated systems.
