Job Description - Maintenance Technician

What we’re looking for:


We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our growing team on the east side of Columbus, Ohio. This is a training role that will provide opportunities to grow within the maintenance trade. As a Maintenance Technician at Ackermann Group, you will be responsible for:



  • Physical activities related to exterior grounds maintenance.

  • Janitorial duties helping to preserve and maintain any aspect of the apartment community and its facilities.

  • Pool water management (if applicable)

  • Works alone or with other maintenance personnel to perform unit make-ready process as well as intermediate level repairs (i.e. Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Appliance Repair, HVAC & Painting).

  • Participates in move-in/out inspection process.

  • General property maintenance as identified by supervisor.

  • Participates in snow event preparation and removal.

  • Participates in community and equipment related preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Participates in inventory management of maintenance line items as needed.

  • Takes responsibility for other work-related tasks as assigned by Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.


 




The ideal Maintenance Technician will have:



  • 1 or more years of related experience that demonstrates a broad knowledge of general maintenance 

  • HVAC certification, EPA Type I & II certification and/or CPO certification is a plus!

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • A positive, team-oriented attitude

  • A valid driver’s license with proof of insurance 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Availability to work full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with emergency on-call rotation as designated by the Property Manager
