Travis Hyde Properties is looking for a full time, qualified residential and commercial Maintenance Technician. We are a local property management company that has been serving the Ithaca community for 45 years. We maintain a friendly family atmosphere in our company. Job Summary
Maintenance Technician is responsible to keep buildings, equipment, and building systems in good working order. A qualified candidate will take pride in a job well done and will possess the skills necessary to maintain, repair or replace, including but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC systems, and basic electrical repairs. It will also be important to have excellent time management and organizational skills, good customer service and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Property Manager to maintain efficient operation of the building and the grounds
- Perform manual repairs (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets etc.)
- Conduct property walks and inspections and identify areas needing attention
- Complete work orders in a timely fashion
- Ensure compliance with building safety codes
- Available to work an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
- Possess tools used to assemble, disassemble and repair various projects
- Snow Removal as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
MUST HAVE: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physically be able to lift, move or carry items weighing over 50 pounds
2+ years of maintenance experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
