Job Description - Maintenance Technician

Are you a talented handyman with carpentry experience? Do you like to keep busy? Do you need a steady income?

Palmetto Woods is a Mobile Home Community located 1 mile from Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. We are looking for a maintenance tech who offers top-notch service, can work independently and as part of a team, and is motivated to learn and grow professionally.

The right candidate has a minimum of 5 years' experience and expertise in the following areas:

Willing to work with regional supervisor for scheduling, inventory management, ordering materials, and leading safety meetings

Prior Experience all aspects of home repairs on trailers or manufactured homes

Good Carpentry skills, some plumbing and electrical background helpful

HVAC EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

Experience with roof repairs, painting, and flooring installation

Experience with power tools

Good math skills, including taking accurate measurements.

Computer skills for data entry to track inventory and work progress

Focus is on tenant repairs and Community Maintenance

To be successful, the right candidate has the following qualities:

Management and supervisory skills

Teamwork and collaboration; can do attitude

Able to maintain a clean, safe work environment

Professionalism and strong work ethic

Ability to lift and move 50 lbs

Smart phone needed for data entry and proprietary software

Good communication skills

Strong focus on quality, customer service and performance

Willingness to learn new techniques specific for the manufactured home industry

Must be available for weekend and after-hour emergency calls

Have your own truck and tools

Must be able to life and move 50lbs

Work hours: Part Time or Full Time
