Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bethany Communities, a senior living community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our property, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents and visitors. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Comply with all Bethany Community Services Policies and Procedures, including operating and safety standards.

- Promote safe work practices among on-site staff.

- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the property, including buildings, facilities, and grounds, both indoor and outdoor.

- Follow specific departmental policies and procedures as instructed by the supervisor.

- On Call availability (seven man rotation with stipend)

- Diagnose and repair issues in various areas, including:

  - HVAC systems

  - Electrical systems

  - Plumbing

  - Major appliances

  - Carpentry

  - Emergency systems

  - Flooring

  - Hardware accessories

  - Masonry

  - Painting and wallpapering

  - Water features

Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques in various trades.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills.

Requirements

PREPARATION-Required

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
• Ability to pass a CORI 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English is required.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds or more on occasion may be required.
• This position may require standing, sitting, or kneeling for long periods of time and occasionally require working in hard-to-reach are.
