Essential Functions:
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery, including steam cookers, mixers, boiler system, packaging equipment, water softeners, pumps, and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets production requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly and provide emergency unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment during the manufacturing process to prevent disruptions to production.
- Facility Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production area, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
- Monitor and repair facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, to support a safe and comfortable working environment.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe work practices.
- Participate in safety training programs and contribute to the development of safety initiatives to promote a culture of safety.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (DPS, HACCP, OSHA) and company policies related to food safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and inventory management.
- Document equipment repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance procedures to track equipment history and performance.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with production manager to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, cultivation and fulfillment, to address maintenance issues and implement solutions.
- Provide technical assistance and training to production staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform all other duties as assigned up to and including sanitation and cleaning of the facility as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting/repairs on PLC, relay logic and logic controllers, 480v, 220v, 110v AC single/three phase and DC systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including motors, drives, industrial sensors, and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed.
- Ability to perform mechanical repairs that include hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to operate a computer to support and record documentation in our computer maintenance management system.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Technical school education, preferred.
- 5 years’ related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in a GMP environment.
- 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate a computer including Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Ability to research issues, contact manufacturer/supplier and complete tasks.
- Must be "hands-on" in completing maintenance work.
- Some weekend and evening work required (emergency).
- Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agencies.
- Able to pass all background checks/fingerprinting as required by state cannabis agencies.
- Able to provide valid badging/credentials as required by state cannabis agencies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Must follow PPE and Safety guidelines as required, in each zoned area within the facility, while completing work.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to constantly position self throughout task at hand.
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service various equipment.
- The person in this position needs to frequently move about the inside and outside of buildings.
- Occasionally works in outside conditions that include exposure to inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
- Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Frequently lifts, loads, unloads, moves, positions, and transports items up to 50 pounds.
- This person may be exposed to dust, kief, cleaning chemicals, and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure to some degree.
