WAGE RANGE: $26 - $36/hr (based on experience)

About the Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment. This hands-on role ensures the efficient operation and longevity of the facility and equipment, reducing downtime and optimizing performance. The position also involves coordinating with external vendors and assisting with facility improvement projects.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Facilities Maintenance

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the facility, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and geothermal systems.
• Address facility issues as they arise, ensuring a safe and functional work environment.
• Assist with facility improvement projects, including upgrades and repairs.
• Collaborate with external vendors for landscaping, snow removal, and maintenance services

Machine Maintenance

• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) on machinery and equipment per established schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
• Regularly inspect machinery to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Assist in implementing solutions for recurring equipment issues.

Documentation & Preventative Maintenance

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and project progress.
• Ensure PM tasks are completed per compliance and audit requirements.
• Support safety and compliance initiatives, following OSHA and industry standards.

Education and Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in maintenance roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with machine troubleshooting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to service, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment.
• Familiarity with industrial tools, such as cranes, air compressors, and measuring devices.
• Ability to work independently while prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to learn and train on new equipment and processes.

Working knowledge of:

• Plastic injection molding and related equipment (presses, dryers, etc.).
• Common production and facilities maintenance tools and equipment (cranes, measuring devices, torches, heaters, air compressors, etc.).
• Industry safety and OSHA standards.
• General office equipment, including computers, calculators, telephones, copier, etc.
• General manufacturing and office procedures.
