Schedule: M-TH 6:15AM-4:45PM | Every other Friday 6:00AM-11:00AM | NO WEEKENDS!

Position Summary
Janco is seeking a Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment, as well as upkeep of the facility, including buildings, grounds, and utility systems. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive environment that enables team members to manufacture high-quality products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

·        Perform general maintenance to ensure optimal condition and performance of facilities and equipment.

·        Conduct routine preventive maintenance as scheduled.

·        Respond to work orders and maintenance requests promptly and effectively.

·        Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in production equipment.

·        Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and procedures.

·        Repair, maintain, and install machinery, tools, and equipment to minimize production downtime.

·        Support utility systems to ensure uninterrupted supply of heat, electricity, gas, and air.

·        Maintain and repair standard manufacturing equipment such as pumps, fans, welders, and conveyors.

·        Assist in building and grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal as needed.

·        Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.

·        Keep maintenance tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good condition.

·        Communicate issues and potential concerns to maintenance and production leadership.

·        Collaborate with supervisors to resolve equipment issues and recommend improvements.

·        Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.

·        Follow all company safety procedures and policies.

·        Uphold and model the company’s core values and standards.

·        Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Metal fabrication environment with shop floor experience is a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of computers or smartphones is helpful.

Certificates & Licenses: None required.

Work Environment 

The work required for this position is performed on the shop floor which is not climate controlled. Safety-toe shoes, protective eye wear, gloves when handling material are required.
