Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and systems to support safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
This role involves working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems, including PLC-controlled machinery.
The technician performs preventive and predictive maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and ensures minimal downtime through timely and effective repairs.
Additionally, the position requires adherence to safety standards, accurate documentation of maintenance activities, and participation in continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and operational performance.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electronics, completion of a two-year vocational program, a four-year apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
Strong computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work order processing.
Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and apply problem-solving techniques effectively.
Training Requirements:
On-the-job training
Specialized machine training
OSHA-required training
Physical Demands:
Able to lift up to 35 pounds frequently.
Able to work 3rd shift with 5% a shift differential.
Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes and hoists.
Work at multiple heights.
Climb on equipment, machines, ladders, man lifts and various step stools.
Stand for a minimum of 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks.
Work various shifts and workday schedules including nights and weekends.
Exposure to magnets that may impact medical devices.
Kneel, squat, and crawl on knees.
Work in awkward positions, including forward reach, lateral reach, squat, overhead reaching, twisting and forward head and rotation of neck.
Work in tight spaces.
Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling rotating.
Use of fine motor skills.
Use of maintenance hand tools.
Required Personal Protective Equipment: hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toed/metatarsal foot gear, and ARC Flash provided protective clothing and equipment including shock resistant gloves, fall restraint harnesses, jackets, chaps, helmet, grinding shield, etc.
Note – all repair tooling, hand tools, and storage will be provided.
