Maintenance Technician

This full-time, hourly position assists the Facilities Manager with preventive as well as general maintenance of the physical plant.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Facilities Manager in all aspects of preventive plant maintenance.


• Assist with special events, shoveling and sanding


• Maintain Museum buildings; basic electric work, roof repair, gutters, patching and repairing walls, painting both indoor and outdoor spaces and performing other general maintenance/repair needs.


• Oversee contractors when larger repairs are necessary

Qualifications:
Background in carpentry and painting, basic knowledge of electrical, heating, HVAC and plumbing units. Experience in maintaining a large commercial building.  Ability to use hand tools. Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift heavy objects like ladders, lawn furniture, etc.
