The ODC Network is a nonprofit organization focused on outdoor education and conservation throughout West Michigan. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the mission of the ODC Network through the execution of maintenance and improvements for buildings, grounds, and property management at our various facilities and properties. They will work closely with the Facilities Manager, VP of Operations, and other members of the Management and Operations Team on the planning and execution of projects related to facilities.
This position will work approximately 20 hours per week at Gentex Discovery Preschool and approximately 20 hours across other ODC sites and facilities.

Desired Skills:
Experience with various construction equipment including: lawn maintenance equipment, snow removal equipment, and construction tools.
General cleaning, facilities, and landscape maintenance experience

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the management of the ODC work order system and actively utilize the ODC project management system
Assist with and lead volunteer groups
Assist with restocking of supplies/dispensers/toiletries at Gentex Discovery Preschool and other ODC Network Facilities.
Assist with snow removal including snow blowing, shoveling, and salting public access sidewalks
Assist with maintenance at all ODC facilities
Support operations and facilities team and help where needed
Maintain a current working knowledge and professional working relationships in all aspects of job requirements
Help promote the mission and vision of ODC Network
Assist and coordinate with other staff as required, including participation in required meetings and trainings
All other duties as assigned by the Operations Team
Education/Experience/Requirements:
High school diploma
Experience in buildings, grounds, and equipment maintenance and operation
Three years experience preferred but not required
Successfully pass a background check, have the ability to be insured, and have a valid driving license
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to work outside in various weather conditions
This position requires the ability to work outside in various weather conditions. Must be able to regularly lift up to 75 pounds and walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
Equipment Operated:
Landscape equipment including push mower, string trimmer, snow blower, tractor, utility vehicle, and backpack blower
Floor scrubber
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Google, and the operation of general office equipment. Maintenance Care application will be used and applicant will be trained by staff
