JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance :Technician is responsible for the repair, installation, and general upkeep of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The technician must possess a strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, facility tooling, and company safety procedures to ensure operational efficiency and a safe working environment

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Electrical Systems: Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and components in accordance with engineering drawings.
  • Network Infrastructure: Maintain and repair network data lines (CAT5e/6) to ensure stable connectivity for manufacturing and office operations.
  • Technical Review: Review electrical schematics and network diagrams for accuracy, coordinating with departments to resolve technical discrepancies.
  • Equipment Integration: Perform functional and operational checks on electrically powered machinery and integrated network systems.
  • Safety & Standards: Ensure all electrical and network work meets AGSE quality and safety standards, including proper grounding and cable management.
  • Documentation: Identify and resolve documentation issues related to facility wiring and reporting non-conformance to supervisors.
  • Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment for electrical panels and server racks following 5S/6S principles

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Reading: Proven experience reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, network schematics, and work instructions.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in operating specialized electrical tools (multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers) and standard power tools (drills, grinders).
  • Electrical/Mechanical Hybrid: Ability to perform hydraulic installations and troubleshooting alongside electrical motor repairs.
  • Aerial Operations: Experience operating large overhead cranes or forklifts to access high-reach electrical and network lines.
  • Teamwork: Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills to coordinate facility-wide network or power shutdowns.
  • Digital Literacy: Proficient computer skills for managing network configurations and maintenance logs

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Required: Minimum of five years related experience in mechanical/electrical assembly or facility maintenance.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial electrical systems
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge/experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
