Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building automation systems.
- Inspect facility equipment and identify maintenance needs before failures occur.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency repairs.
- Maintain boilers, chillers, air handling units, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
- Perform basic electrical repairs including lighting, outlets, switches, and circuit troubleshooting.
- Conduct plumbing repairs including fixtures, valves, pipes, and drainage systems.
- Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Complete maintenance logs, inspection reports, and work order documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors performing specialized maintenance services.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Support facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school certification preferred.
- 3+ years of facility maintenance, building engineering, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and CMMS systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Certifications
- EPA Universal Certification
- HVAC Certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Boiler Operator Certification
- Electrical or Journeyman License (where applicable)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
