Conforms to and has department conform to Model Dairy quality standards.
Updates and monitors a preventative maintenance program for the Reno plant facility.
Helps relieve and cover maintenance department vacations to minimize overtime costs.
Coordinates the day-to-day preventative maintenance requirements and must have proficiency in all maintenance jobs.
Through a parts clerk, establishes parts ordering requirements to ensure that adequate supplies of appropriate spare parts are kept in stock.
Develops a maintenance related training schedule for production team members and assists in their technical training as needed.
Assists in troubleshooting as needed on plant equipment. Performs needed repairs when required. Researches, suggest, and implements system upgrades.
Analyzes malfunctioning machines and systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) and makes necessary repairs, adjustments, modifications, subject to management approval.
Repairs production equipment, plant equipment, and related facilities as directed. This includes boilers, air compressors and refrigeration systems.
Analyzes and repairs specialized equipment heavily dependent on electrical controls, microprocessors, controls, electro-mechanical mechanisms, and related components under general direction.
Maintains a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment systems and facilities, in order to perform maintenance effectively under general directions.
Has sufficient knowledge to be able to operate equipment for diagnostic and break relief as required.
Performs all work in a safe and professional manner and reports safety deficiencies immediately.
Order parts and materials as required for assigned tasks.
Maintains professional and appropriate dress, hygiene and personal appearance.

Minimum:
A High school diploma or GED
Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to read, write and speak in Spanish a plus.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
High degree of mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to work Saturday.
Preferred:
Previous public relations/customer service experience.
Previous experience with XATA, ADI or any handheld device.
