Job Description - Maintenance Technician

Overview

Our client is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support daily operations by keeping trucks, forklifts, and production equipment operating safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

Perform diesel engine repairs and service tractor-trailers, forklifts, and other heavy-duty equipment to maintain reliable operation.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and complete necessary repairs to restore equipment functionality.
Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspect equipment components, and test machinery to identify potential failures before they cause downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, hydraulic components, and related equipment to support daily manufacturing or warehouse operations.
Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and established safety standards while documenting completed work, parts used, and maintenance activities in work orders and service records.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, or Industrial Maintenance Technician.
Hands-on experience servicing diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read technical manuals, equipment diagrams, and service documentation.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools, electrical testing equipment, and general repair tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to workplace safety, equipment reliability, and accurate maintenance documentation.
