Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

DESCRIPTION:

Superior Production, LLC., a manufacturer of metal stampings, is part of a large privately owned holding company involved in various metal manufacturing processes throughout the continental United States. We provide Stamping and Machining services throughout the Midwest for a variety of customers.

With two plants in Columbus, Ohio, we service the automotive, appliance, agriculture, and heavy truck industries.

SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance and special projects.

The position will troubleshoot issues, and repair failures of production/equipment on equipment such as Stamping presses (Hydraulic and pneumatic), Robotics, CNC Machines, Mills, lathes and grinders, Forklifts, conveyors & miscellaneous equipment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Reading and interpreting electrical schematics while working with electrical ranging from low voltage up to 480V - 3 Phase. Repairs electrical equipment.

· Troubleshooting wiring, motor controls, and sensors

· Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

· Repairs or replaces defective parts.

· Checks fits, clearances, and appropriate adjustments to equipment.

· Installs special functional and structural parts in equipment (electrical/mechanical).

· Uses various devices to test equipment's performance.

· Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.

· General building & facility maintenance / other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•High School Diploma or GED; Post-secondary or trade school is an asset.

•The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment similar to metal stamping presses, CNC Machines, Mills, Lathes, and robotics.

•As a bonus, the ideal candidate would have some machining and fabrication experience - including metal fitting, welding, and cutting.

•Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communications
