Reporting directly to the Maintenance Lead, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventative maintenance and repair of equipment within the rubber mixing and molding operations. The role ensures equipment reliability, production continuity, and safety compliance through expert troubleshooting and adherence to mechanical and electrical standards.
The schedule for this position will be 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventative Maintenance and Equipment Repair
Perform routine preventative maintenance on a wide variety of equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
Minimize equipment downtime to ensure production efficiency.
Technical Expertise and Operation
Interpret and apply electrical schematics and blueprints.
Execute basic plumbing, welding, and metal fabrication tasks.
Maintain and utilize appropriate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Safety, Communication, and Teamwork
Follow all company safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate repairs.
Exhibit a positive, team-oriented attitude and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Other Duties
Accurately document maintenance activities.
Perform other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic system components.
Experience with welding, fabrication, and general mechanical practices.
Demonstrated reliability and excellent attendance record.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
Must supply and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
Required PPE includes steel-toed safety boots.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
5–7 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and CNC machinery strongly preferred.
Prior experience in the rubber industry is highly desirable.
