Epicurean Butter is seeking a skilled and dependable 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance needs of our growing food manufacturing facility. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling to accommodate the needs of a fast-paced, expanding production environment. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our equipment and facility operations.
You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate across QA, Production, and Operations teams to maintain a safe, productive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems - Support and improve the preventive maintenance program - Assist in equipment installations and upgrades as needed for production and facility growth - Execute work orders efficiently and cost-effectively - Identify and report safety concerns and recommend corrective actions - Maintain company tools and inventory of parts/hardware - Follow company policies regarding GMPs, tool control, and safety - Communicate professionally and clearly with production and leadership teams - Demonstrate willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a positive team culture
Team Collaboration
You’ll work closely with: - Maintenance Supervisor (direct report) - Maintenance Manager - Director of Operations - QA Team - Production Team
Qualifications
- Basic English reading/writing and math skills required; bilingual (Spanish) preferred - Knowledge of: - Facility maintenance, HVAC, light plumbing - Commercial electrical systems - Troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools - Food-safe procedures and sanitation requirements - Ability to: - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals - Work independently and prioritize tasks - Remain reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented - Demonstrate adaptability, patience, and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance, equipment repair, or a related field - Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred, not required) - Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and industrial safety standards
