Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician, under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor, supports personnel across all locations by maintaining buildings and departments to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety. Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs may be required occasionally. Travel between sites and vendors may be necessary.
Education and/or Experience: - High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred. - 3-5 years of building maintenance experience. - Knowledge of hand tools and power equipment. - Experience in electrical, plumbing, and painting maintenance.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, and painting repairs. - Repair furniture, doors, locks, and medical equipment. - Complete work order requests and assist with office relocations. - Maintain cleanliness of facilities, including outdoor areas. - Test and maintain emergency equipment. - Assist with scheduling and monitoring outside contractors. - Provide backup support for mail and package delivery.
Skills and Abilities: - Ability to perform general building maintenance tasks. - Physical capability for heavy lifting and various physical activities. - Proficiency in using office equipment and hand tools. - Familiarity with commercial plumbing, electrical, and painting. - Strong teamwork and independent work skills. - Flexible schedule, including occasional overtime.
