Maintenance Technician A - 2nd or 3rd Shift

The ContiTech division develops, manufactures, and markets products, systems and intelligent components made of rubber, plastic, metal, and fabric. They are used in machine and plant engineering, mining, agriculture, the automotive industry, and other important sectors of the future.

Our technicians perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance on all production and auxiliary equipment. They troubleshoot, repair, service and conduct ongoing maintenance to ensure uninterrupted and effective operations.

1. Utilize the skills below to repair or install industrial equipment: 

1. Mechanical (hydraulic/pneumatic)
2. Basic Facilities Maintenance Skills
3. Basic Electrical Skills
4. HVAC Skills Are a Plus
5. Welding (Mig/Tig)
6. Machining
7. Plumbing

2. Trouble shoot equipment or machinery failure and problems as they arise. Ability to read schematics and solid understanding of PLC’s a plus.

3. Assist with various ongoing projects such as the installation and removal of equipment/machinery.

4. Fabricate special parts of entire pieces of equipment.

5. Maintain shop machinery and an orderly work area.

6. Perform preventive maintenance,

7. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

High school diploma or GED. 

Formal technical training/education/certification strongly preferred.

                     OR

Minimum of 4 years industrial maintenance experience.

Computer knowledge in Windows based applications, ability to fulfill work orders and record problems and solutions in logs.
