Maintenance Technician Assistant

Job Summary:

Eatery Essentials Inc. is growing rapidly and we are looking to add to our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and professional individual with a strong background in complex machinery. Someone who'll ensure compliance with conventional tool and equipment preservation poilicies with an extrordinary approach to solving potential issues in unconventional ways. 

1. Carefully read manuals of equipment and interpret them to understand how to operate and maintain them properly
2. Inspect newly acquired equipment and spare parts upon arrival
3. Correct use of electronic instruments such as multimeters to measure current, impedance, and voltage.
4. Safety first approach during manufacturing activities, keep equipment in check to avoid mechanical hazards 
5. Teach colleagues how to operate equipment to avoid pressing mistakes that could trigger accidents
6. Assist in the purchase and/or testing of new equipment, utilize your knowledge of machine operations in choosing durable, quality machines and make recommendations.
7. Routinely service equipment , as part of measures to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions
8. Communicate with management to help maintenance run at optimal performance 
9. Maintain a record of activities to track the lifespan of equipment. 
10. Follow safety procedures and comply with electrical codes.
11. Make decisions based on technical documentation.
12. Conduct quality tests and inspections.
13. Assist in performing other duties to keep the systems running when necessary. 

Requirements

Required skills and competencies:

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance function in a manufacturing environment 
2. 1 year of experience with PLC systems - Siemens, Mitsubishi or Codesys
3. Knowledge of mechanical maintenance process
4. Experience in designing and implementing circuit diagrams. 
5. 1 year of SRS experience 
6. Ability to communicate directions thoroughly with colleagues 
7. General knowledge of mechanics (gears, bearings, pulleys, belt belts, etc.), pneumatics and hydraulics to solve high-speed equipment problems in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision.
8. Ability to safely operate shop tools such as cutting saws, drilling machines, table grinders, hydraulic presses, vertical band saws, arc welding machines, acetylene torches and a variety of other hand tools.
9. Knowledge and use of basic electronic parts and equipment for machinery such as induction motors, sensors, and heaters. 
10. Understand the basics of electricity meters, voltage, and complete the necessary calculations.
