We are a large residential apartment complex in Newburgh, NY and are currently looking to add a Flooring and Maintenance Technician to add to our team.
We are looking for someone who has experience with flooring and is also a skilled handyman who is capable of taking a vacant apartment and making it ready for the next resident to move in.
Candidates must be self-motivated individuals who works efficiently independently. Productivity is closely monitored as we work with strict deadlines. We need someone who is a self-starter and can stay on task without continual oversight.
Required skills/experience include:
Flooring - full installation and repairs: VCT, LVP, and ceramic tile
Plumbing - faucets, clogs/leaks, toilets, drains, p-traps, water lines
Electrical - switches, light fixtures, outlets
Taping/sheetrock - repairing damage
Painting - Repair, prep, sanding, taping, prime and paint
Appliances - installation and repair of stoves and refrigerators
General maintenance - resident work orders, repairing/replacing doors, caulking, closet tracks, cabinet repair, carpet removal, unit cleanouts, and assisting with other jobs around the property as needed.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Certain tasks may require working in crawlspaces or on a ladder
Location: 207 Lake Drive, Newburgh, NY. As you will be required to be on call periodically for snow and emergencies, we are looking for a candidate who lives in close proximity to the property and would be able to get here within 30 minutes.
Full time: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
