Maintenance Technician in St Louis Missouri Area

Arnold Grounds Apartment Management is seeking dependable, skilled, and service-oriented Maintenance Technicians to join our team supporting multifamily apartment communities throughout the St. Louis, Missouri area.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and appearance of the community while providing prompt and professional maintenance service to our residents. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with general apartment maintenance experience and a commitment to quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and work orders accurately and in a timely manner.


• Perform general maintenance repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building systems.


• Assist with apartment make-ready and turnover preparation for new residents.


• Diagnose maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs.


• Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the community.


• Maintain common areas, building exteriors, grounds, mechanical areas, and maintenance facilities.


• Conduct inspections and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.


• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and maintenance inventory.


• Respond professionally and courteously to resident maintenance concerns.


• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies as required.


• Follow company safety procedures, policies, and applicable housing requirements.


• Assist the Community Manager and maintenance team with property-related projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous apartment, multifamily, residential, commercial, or general maintenance experience preferred.


• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.


• HVAC/EPA certification is preferred but may not be required for all positions.


• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.


• Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and assignments.


• Strong communication and customer service skills.


• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.


• Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with property maintenance, including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and working indoors and outdoors.


• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required based on property assignment.


• Must be available for emergency/on-call responsibilities as assigned.
