Maintenance Technician - Join a Market Leader

Great opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Technician, (1st shift), to join the team of a global company at their Kansas City, MO location. As the Maintenance Technician, you will perform general to advanced maintenance to ensure a safe and high-level of operation for all equipment functions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a high safety standard throughout the plant – including preventative & predictive maintenance, repairs, and improvements – ensuring all documentation is completed timely and accurately.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment within the facilities – including presses, shears, laser, overhead cranes, electrical systems, as well as air & water lines.
• Ensure all plant safety programs are being followed as well as identifying general safety issues within the workplace.
• Promote and support Lean Initiatives by participating in training and events to foster continuous improvement within the department and cross-functional areas.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+years of factory and maintenance experience
• Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to work safely on electrical circuits, (480 V, 3 phase +)
• Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus
• Highly experienced with preventative maintenance
• Working knowledge of safety requirements in the maintenance field
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair Industrial Automation Systems, including PLC’s
• Basic Machining and Welding skills are a plus
• Strong PC skills; Experience with Excel, Word, and maintenance software.
