Maintenance Technician - Machinery

Meyer Plastics is currently a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician specializing in machinery repair to join our team. This job is a full-time position with a shift from 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday-Friday. The starting pay would be $25.00 - $30.00/hour depending on experience. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various industrial machines and equipment to ensure smooth production operations. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and maximize efficiency across our facility. The Maintenance Technician will report to the Production Manager and work closely with other employees to maintain a smooth flow on our production floor.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

- Troubleshoot machinery problems accurately and efficiently.

- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.

- Collaborate with production staff to address equipment concerns promptly.

- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

- Assist in the installation and set-up of new machinery as needed.

- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance machine reliability and performance.

- Proven experience in machinery repair, maintenance, or related field.

- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.

- Ability to work safely with and around 24 Volt, 110 Volts and 480 Volt electrical systems.

- Read, comprehend, and interpret technical reference manuals and wiring diagrams.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong commitment to safety and safety procedures.

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant training preferred.
