We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with experience in manufacturing environments to ensure the smooth operation of our production facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of manufacturing equipment to identify any potential issues or areas in need of maintenance.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and determine the root cause of problems.
Repair and replace defective parts as needed, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Collaborate with production team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruption to production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment as required.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the maintenance function.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred.
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular working hours if necessary.
BONUS: Familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other relevant manufacturing technologies.
