Maintenance Technician Rankin County

Job Summary

Ensures proper maintenance of fixtures, furnishings, mechanical equipment and electrical equipment throughout the Medical Center. Communicates with customers on both issues and repairs in a clear, concise and timely manner. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

· Inspects/performs daily maintenance to ensure proper operation of electrical/mechanical equipment. Maintains/services equipment, keeping it in optimum working order. Repairs electrical/mechanical equipment at MBMC to ensure proper working order. Assists other maintenance personnel to offer aid in the coverage of requested repairs.

· Performs tests and reviews readings to detect malfunction/locate source of problems. Read blueprints, interpret mechanical data and layout work. Member of bomb squad and fire brigade. Instructs others (employees) in related work activities. Exhibits a positive, cheerful attitude toward customers.

· Consistently leads by example. Inter-disciplinary involvement in problem solving. Informs supervisor of activity status and inability to meet expectations. Readily provides supervisor with new information and suggestions as necessary.

· Proper use of assigned equipment. Proper notification of problems. Supplies are used properly. Reports to work at designated time. Completes activities within assigned time frames. Exhibits ability to prioritize activities.

· Attends required staff meetings and in-services. Shares information with others when requested. Seeks clarification and additional knowledge. Identifies self-learningneeds. Assists in the orientation of others when requested.

Experience

 Minimum Required  - Three Years of experience in Maintenance
