MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Roving position) - Rancho Cucamonga, CA

About your new Career:
Lewis Apartment Communities, a division of one of the largest privately owned Real Estate developers and Property Managers in the nation, currently seeks an EXPERIENCED Maintenance Technician for a full-time position, roving between two Lewis communities.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential apartments, common areas, and facilities.
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems.
- Perform painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs as needed.
- Assist with apartment turnovers and ensure units are in top condition for new residents.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and equipment.
- Collaborate with the property management team and fellow maintenance staff.

Other requirements include:
- Moving and transporting heavy objects, as needed
- Bending/stooping/walking repeatedly over time and throughout your community.
- Ascend/descend stairs and ladders as required.
- Ability to exchange information and communicate with Company employees and the public by speaking/reading/writing English.
To be successful, your background should include:
- Proven experience in residential maintenance, preferably in upscale apartment communities.
- Strong knowledge of basic maintenance, including drywall repair, plumbing, electrical, and appliance troubleshooting. HVAC experience is a big plus.
- Basic carpentry and painting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for on-call and emergency maintenance as needed.
- Valid driver's license is required.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Hours for this position are 9am-6pm and the days off are Tuesday and Wednesday. This is a split-site position, with the Maintenance Technician scheduled 3 days per week at Jamboree Apartments and 2 days per week at Montecito Apartments. The ideal candidate must be flexible and adaptable, as each property operates with different management styles and team dynamics. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to shift priorities as needed, and a proactive approach to supporting both communities.
