SUMMARY


Maintain and perform limited repairs on Agency equipment, vehicles, and machines. Perform normal building maintenance duties at all facility sites.


 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:


 



  • Assist with normal building maintenance operations at all facility sites, including cleaning vents, repairing walls and work orders created on AutoTask.

  • During winter months, remove snow from sidewalks and parking lots at all facility sites and salt walkways and through parking lots. (flexible hours outside normal hours when needed)

  • Ensures that building and grounds maintenance equipment are in good operating condition.

  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production and maintenance systems to achieve optimum quality and verifies the implementation of improvements.

  • Implements Agency and program safety and health policies and practices.

  • Performs industrial machine maintenance duties as needed.

  • Loads and unloads delivery trucks as needed.



  • Delivers incoming shipments to appropriate building/staff person.



  • Adjust building temperatures through thermostats and Trane Tracker controls

  • Prepares requisitions on purchases.



  • Assists in maintaining up to date Safety Data Sheets

  • Acts as a backup for other Tech Assistant

  • This position requires use of internet on a cell phone for work purposes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned


 


Maintenance Tech Assistant 1:


 



  • Performs minor electrical repairs and installation, this includes any maintenance needed in this area.

  • Assists with maintaining all Agency vehicles and program equipment (forklifts, etc.) as needed.


 


Maintenance Tech Assistant 2:


 



  • Assists janitorial crew with guidance and training

  • Orders janitorial supplies to meet the needs of the agency

  • Creates and updates weekly janitorial schedules through Microsoft Teams

  • Maintains janitorial supply inventory and reorders as needed.

  • Assures the janitorial areas are neat and organized in appearance

  • Backup coverage for cutting lawns, replaces and maintains mulch, plants and maintains (trims, replaces, etc.) flowers, trees, and shrubbery, weed control to maintain the outward appearance of buildings including applying commercial pesticide applications

  • Paints walls in all facilities, this includes mudding and small repairs to walls as needed

Nationwide 401(a)-


If hired on or after 9/1/2019 the Authority shall contribute an amount equal to three percent (3%) of the employee’s base wage.


 


 


 


 


 


Pension-


For Employees hired prior to 09/01/2019, the pension formula will be a two percent (2%) multiplier and the Employer will continue to provide contributions as actuarially determined to insure the financial soundness of the fund.


 



 


 


Vested in the Authority’s contributions once thirty-six (36) months of service are completed with the Authority.
