Job Title: Hatchery Maintenance

Department: Hatchery Operations

Summary:

The Maintenance is responsible for working in all areas of the hatchery on an as needed basis with the primary responsibilities of being to work in all phases of maintenance within the hatchery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

1. Maintains all equipment and completes PM’s on time.


2. General electrical maintenance.


3. General pneumatic maintenance


4. General electronic knowledge including robotic maintenance


5. Observes all company personnel, safety, quality and food safety and food safety

policies.

1. All other duties as assigned.


2. Willingness to participate in required training provided by Embrex personnel on equipment operations and safety.


3. Willingness to participate in required training provided by automation and incubation vendors as well as internal trainers and management.


4. Must not possess an type of fowl or be around any fowl outside of work.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED;

Language Ability:

Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills needed.
