Maintenance Utility Operator

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

General description of essential functions identified below:

• Operates Hilo, aerial/scissor lift and die cart.


• Performs minor fab work.


• Performs minor press & welder PM’s.


• Assists with tip changes, and C-frame changeovers.


• Equipment cleaning / upkeep


• PM and cleaning nut feeders.


• Capable of learning and utilizing Maximo system for data entry and PM tracking.


• Adheres to all safety guidelines and monitors tool room for potential safety concerns.


• Treats all Team Members with respect and dignity.


• Performs other tasks as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 High School diploma or GED. Meet minimum qualifications as defined in the Company’s selection process.

• Machine and technical aptitude.


• Prior experience operating forklifts, presses, and other auxiliary equipment preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

Mechanical aptitude.

• Skilled in operating forklift, aerial / scissor lift and die cart.


• Welding skills preferred.


• Knowledge of basic safety procedures and precautions.


• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

 MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Team members must be able to stand on concrete floor for the duration of work shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor, and use arms and hands.

• Visual precision is needed for computer usage and inspection requirements. Team members may be required to fill in other specific plant area vacancies, since all team members are expected to be able to work in all areas.


• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and repetitively lift up to 40 pounds from and to a height of 10-56 inches for the work shift.

 WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Stamping & assembling factory environment, and subject to high noise levels from operational machines and physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.


• Compliance is required regarding all Safety, PPE, Quality and Environmental requirements.


• Assignments may occasionally require work in dirty, wet, noisy and cramped spaces.
