Perform maintenance and repair tasks across agency facilities, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and appliance repair.
Respond to work orders, on-call requests, and emergency maintenance, assessing needs and completing tasks efficiently and safely.
Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and vehicles, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Conduct seasonal grounds maintenance, including landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep, ensuring safe access to all areas.
Support staff, tenants, and persons served with facility-related needs, moving assistance, and preventive maintenance.
Apply safety protocols consistently, identify hazards, and maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Accurately document maintenance work, supply usage, and hours in agency systems, supporting operational and financial reporting.
Leverage expertise across trades and problem-solving skills to independently troubleshoot and resolve facility issues.

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in building trades preferred.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in residential or facility maintenance, with skills in carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and painting.
This is an onsite position in Waterloo, IA, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Knowledge of tools, power equipment, snow removal machinery, and basic groundskeeping practices.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and respond to emergencies.
Effective communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, tenants, and persons served.
Must be 18 years of age or older with valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance coverage.
Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.
Must pass required background checks, including criminal, abuse, and Medicaid exclusion.
